Getting to and from school safely
As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.
Keep our school community safe by:
- driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
- being a good role model
- never calling your child from across the road
- using the safest place to cross the road.

Assisted School Travel Program
Your child may be eligible for Assisted School Travel. This will be discussed as part of the enrolment process. Or appliactions can be made through the school for currently enroled students.

Making Changes
Any change of requirements to transport requires a form to be submitted to Assisted School Travel for assesment. To apply for a change to transport, contact the school via email lucasgarde-s.school@det.nsw.edu.au
Changes include:
- Change of residential address
- Increase/decrease of transport
- Change of transport address
- Additional equipment eg: walker, wheelchair
- Special purpose car seat or harness
